Birmingham, AL; June 22, 2011 - Izzo’s Illegal Burrito is proud to be partnering with Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham for the restaurant’s official grand opening event on July 30th. Franchise owners of Izzo’s Illegal Burrito, Mason Jambon, Paul Primeaux,MD and Deborah Sulzer-Primeaux, are giving 100% of all the restaurant’s proceeds on July 30th to Children’s of Alabama. “We are very excited about coming to Birmingham and we felt like the best way to introduce ourselves to the community would be to support a cause that is so essential to the community,” says Mason Jambon, Owner/Operator of Izzo’s Illegal Burrito at the Summit. We could not think of a better place to invest in Birmingham than Children’s of Alabama and we are all very honored that the hospital has chosen to partner with us on this day.” Izzo’s will be presenting a check to this charity during the event and proceeds from their sales will continue to go to the hospital throughout the year. This will be the first hosting opportunity for the franchise under Fern Street Investments, LLC. This event will also include a ribbon cutting, giveaways and donation opportunities. In addition to prizes, raffles, food and fun, 100% of the proceeds from the day will be donated to Children’s. Izzo's Illegal Burrito, founded in 2001 in Baton Rouge, LA, is a Mexican fast-casual concept that specializes in hand rolled burritos, tacos, bowls, quesadillas and nachos from a scratch kitchen using Co-founder Ozzie Fernandez's family recipes.
