This week, the Lafayette Izzo’s Illegal Burrito team and their General Manager, Scott Knight were given an amazing award from the University of Louisiana Lafayette SOUL camp students!

SOUL camp students nominated Izzo’s for the Community Partnership Award during their student organization awards program. SOUL stands for Service, Outreach, Unity and Leadership. SOUL camp is a unique experimental transition program for new students.

The SOUL Community Partnership Award recognizes an important community business, sponsor, or agency that contributed to the success of an organization during the academic year. Student organizations may submit a nomination detailing how the organization contributed to the success of a project or event, or describe how a community partner worked with the organization throughout the academic year to help the student organization achieve its goals. This award allows us to thank those who partner with our organizations.

SOUL says they are very thankful for the generosity that Izzo’s has shown to SOUL camp this year.

SOUL will have their awards ceremony, called Ragin’ Recognition, on Tuesday, April 26th at 5:30 pm in the Student Union ballroom.

Congratulations to Scott and the Izzo’s Lafayette team! Great work!
